Terms and Conditions

These Terms & Conditions apply to all services provided by forPsych, including in person appointments, telehealth consultations, assessments, reports, website use and communication with our practice.

By engaging with forPsych, booking an appointment, submitting a referral or using our website, you acknowledge that you have read and understood these Terms & Conditions.

Psychological Services

forPsych provides psychological services for adults, children, families, organisations and agencies, including forensic, assessment, disability and telehealth services.

Services may include:

  • Psychological assessment
  • Diagnostic assessment
  • Cognitive and functional assessment
  • Forensic assessment and reporting
  • NDIS and disability services
  • Therapy and intervention
  • Supervision and training
  • Telehealth consultations
  • Court and medico legal services


Services are provided in accordance with Australian professional, ethical and legal obligations applying to registered psychologists. 

Appointments & Referrals

Appointments may be requested through our website, referral form, phone, email or secure messaging systems.

Submitting a referral or enquiry does not guarantee acceptance into the practice. forPsych reserves the right to determine whether services are clinically appropriate, available or suitable for a particular referral.

Some services may require additional documentation prior to appointment confirmation.

Fees & Payment

Fees vary depending on the type and length of service provided.

Payment may be required before, on, or immediately following an appointment unless otherwise arranged.

Additional fees may apply for:

  • Reports and letters
  • Court attendance
  • File reviews
  • Extended consultations
  • Travel
  • Non attendance or late cancellations


Any applicable fees will be discussed prior to service delivery where possible.

forPsych does not bulk bill.

Cancellations & Non Attendance

We understand that circumstances can change. If you need to cancel or reschedule an appointment, we request as much notice as possible.

Late cancellations or missed appointments may incur a cancellation fee.

Repeated non attendance may result in discharge from the practice or refusal of future bookings.

Telehealth Services

Telehealth services may be offered where clinically appropriate.

By participating in telehealth services, you acknowledge:

  • Telehealth may not be suitable for all situations or presentations
  • Technical interruptions may occasionally occur
  • You are responsible for accessing a suitable device and internet connection
  • You should attend sessions from a private and safe location
  • Telehealth services are not suitable for emergencies or crisis situations


forPsych uses platforms selected with privacy and security considerations in mind. 

Emergency & Crisis Services

forPsych is not an emergency service.

If you or another person are at immediate risk, contact:

  • Mental Health Services on your local crisis number


Emails, website enquiries and voicemail messages are not continuously monitored and should not be used for urgent or crisis communication.

Confidentiality & Privacy

Your personal and health information is managed in accordance with Australian privacy legislation and professional obligations. 

Information shared during appointments remains confidential except where:

  • You provide consent
  • Disclosure is required or authorised by law
  • There is a serious risk to your safety or the safety of another person
  • Records are subpoenaed by a court
  • Mandatory reporting obligations apply

Reports, Assessments & Court Matters

Assessment outcomes, reports and recommendations are based on the information available at the time of assessment and on professional clinical judgement.

Reports prepared for legal, forensic, educational, workplace or NDIS purposes are intended only for the specific purpose requested.

Third parties must not alter, selectively reproduce or misrepresent any report or recommendation prepared by forPsych.

Court attendance, expert witness services and medico legal work may involve separate agreements and fee arrangements.

Communication

Email and website communication should be considered administrative only unless otherwise agreed.

Sensitive or urgent clinical matters should not be discussed via standard email or social media messaging.

forPsych may communicate using:

  • Phone
  • Email
  • SMS reminders
  • Secure messaging systems
  • Telehealth platforms


While reasonable security measures are taken, electronic communication may carry inherent privacy or technical risks.

Website Use

Information provided on this website is intended for general informational purposes only and does not constitute medical, psychological or legal advice.

Use of this website does not create a psychologist client relationship.

While reasonable efforts are made to ensure website accuracy, forPsych does not guarantee that all content is current, complete or error free.

Third Party Platforms & Links

Our website or systems may contain links to third party websites, referral systems or external providers.

forPsych is not responsible for the content, privacy practices, availability or security of third party services.

Intellectual Property
